Amy Hall Jones is a Nashville-based communications professional with nearly 20 years of experience in public relations and journalism.
As an independent consultant, she works with clients to reach their goals through thoughtful, strategic communications. From developing brands to handling crises, writing biographies to distributing news, Amy is a skilled practitioner.
Before launching her consultancy, Amy was a vice president at Seigenthaler Public Relations. In that post, she led accounts in diverse sectors including education, financial services, tourism, nonprofits, commercial real estate development, transportation, consumer products and publishing.
Amy graduated from the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College at the University of Mississippi, where she studied journalism and English. She launched her career on the copy desk of Southern Living, editing, fact-checking and contributing content for the magazine and its custom publishing titles.
Following her stint at Southern Living, Amy managed public relations for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce during a period of extensive economic development for the city. She was later tapped by the Nashville Area Red Cross as communications director, where she was a spokesperson for the organization regionally and nationally during the Hurricane Katrina response. While at the Red Cross, Amy managed all communications vehicles for the local branch and served on multiple disaster relief missions.
In 2013, Amy received the Nashville Emerging Leader Award (NELA) from the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and YP Nashville. She was named Top 40 Under 40 by The Tennessean in 2005. Her work has won multiple Parthenon Awards from the Nashville Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
Amy is active in her community and has held board, committee and volunteer positions with agencies including Nashville Education, Community, and Arts Television (NECAT) and Safe Haven Family Shelter.
